everyone change your routines, put on clothes backwards, watch the game with no sound, etc. also if you happen to own a huge switch that says “AL East Momentum” please flip it back the other way. thank you.

Tampa is not beating the Yankees
That actually isn’t true so far this season. TB and NYY have split the season series. But they miss Kazmir.

    from rotoworld:
The Red Sox were reportedly discussing Bobby Kielty with the A’s before talks with another team regarding Wily Mo Pena broke down.
Kielty would make plenty of sense as a replacement in the event of a Pena trade. The Red Sox don’t have room for both. The A’s probably aren’t asking for much in return for Kielty, who has a $2.1 million salary and still rarely plays.
    Do it Theo!!!

Get Kielty and trade WMP for a pack of Tito’s favorite chewing gum. It gives Tito a viable option in RF and let’s him sit Drew when’ he goes cold or needs a break. Like, uh, now?

There is not a single reason to bring in Kielty. Unless we are moving both Hinske and WMP in a package that brings an impact player, there is no reason to bring in a proven piece of mediocrity. At least WMP has that annoying “upside” and Hinske has experience with the team.
No freakin way, I don’t want that clown anywhere near the red sox.

What I’m not understanding is, if we trade Wily Mo, why can’t we just call-up Brandon Moss to fill the bench spot? Why go elsewhere when you’ve got a perfectly capable in-house option?
As for changing routines…I’ll try not to knock on wood today, and I’m wearing a Brewers jersey, so maybe that’ll reverse our luck.

    The ChiSox lineup:
    1. Jerry Owens, CF
    2. Tadahito Iguchi, 2B
    3. Jim Thome, DH
    4. Paul Konerko, 1B
    5. A.J. Pierzynski, C
    6. Jermaine Dye, RF
    7. Rob Mackowiak
    8. Josh Fields, 3B
    9. Juan Uribe, SS
    SP – Jose Contreras
    Sox against Contreras…
    Coco: 8-for-19, double, HR, 3SB (.421/.522/.632)
    Dusty: 0-for-1
    Papi: 4-for-19 with 1HR (.211/.318/.421)
    Manny: 3-for-18 with 1HR (.167/.211/.389)
    Drew: 1-for-3 (.333/.333/.333)
    Lowell: 2-for-6 with 1HR (.333/.333/.833)
    Tek: 3-for-14 with 1HR (.214/.267/.500)
    Hinske: 4-for-13 (.308/.357/.385)
    Lugo: 4-for-14 (.286/.444/.286)
The middle of our order isn’t to be relied upon for much, but Coco should be quite sweet today!

I’m at the game in the bleachers. The sun was in my eyes so I didn’t get a good look – was it a homer?
Daniel: – Drew hit a 3 run homer, plainly obvious to the crowd, players etc, umps called it a double, manny got thrown out cuz he was jogging home, tito went BATSH*T for like 5 minutes, he got thrown out while he was still calm but went beserk after

I’m watching on MLBTV, but very fragmented MLBTV (network is too slow). At first glance, it looked like a homer, but i couldn’t tell, so I figured I’d believe the 3B-ump. That probably wasn’t smart, cuz that’s the guy who botched about 25 ball/strike calls (McClelland).
So…we got cheated out of two runs. If we lose this game by 2 or less, blame it on McClelland.

There’s nothing I hate more than a 1-2-3 inning. Particularly when the third guy makes an out on the first pitch. GET A FRICKIN’ CLUE, HINSKE.
I get the feeling that’s the last of the plate our runners will see tonight…
(Going to a dinner I don’t want to go to. Don’t blow if, guys.)
