Fenway Park, our baseball Mecca, is an equally incredible and frustrating experience for casual and hardcore fan alike. Between transportation, seat location, concessions, comfort and shopping, there is a ton of information to absorb in simply attending a Red Sox home game. Much like any high-traffic institution, proper knowledge of the place can help change an expensive, difficult situation into a surprisingly cheap, wonderful evening. I make no presumption about being a true Fenway expert, but by attending 15-20 games a season, I

Nice post… I live in DC now, and while I get up to Mass. at least 2-3 times a year, with at least 1 being in summer, I keep missing out on games… ironically, heading up this weekend, while the Sox will be down here in Baltimore. I go see them every year in Camden (will be seeing the September series), but it’s been 4 years now since I’ve been in Fenway. Maybe next year…

Thanks for this. My dream is to have the infield grandstand seats impacted by poles identified. Do you consider low rows in section 33 or 32 safe from this worry? I saw a view somewhere from 33 and you mostly saw people from 32 when you looked at home plate. Keep up the great work!
