DECISION: W: Tim Wakefield | L: Rod Bell
STARS OF THE GAME: Dustin Pedroia was 2-3 with two RBI’s and two walks in the game. Wakefield earned his 13th victory of the season only allowing 3 ER’s over 7 innings pitched
RED SOX’S PREVIOUS GAME: Boston 9 @ Los Angeles 6 on 8/8/07

GAME NOTES: With the New York Yankees facing a tough Cleveland Indians team the Red Sox have a good shot at making the division lead bigger. Only problem is they are facing the Orioles best pitcher Erik Bedard tonight, so that means Dice-K needs to have a good game and keep his walks down. If Boston can get six quality innings out of Matsuzaka the bullpen will do the rest as long as we can score any runs off of Bedard. None the less it seems like it is going to be a great pitchers duel tonight.
