Okay, so here it what we know as of 12:37 ET as Theo Epstein and Twins GM Bill Smith resume trade talks:
1. The trade offers look to remain the same. The Red Sox have one offer on the table led by Jon Lester, looking to be packaged with Justin Masterson, Coco Crisp, Jed Lowrie and Ryan Kalish, and a second offer headed by Jacoby Ellsbury and featuring either three or four of the aforementioned players (Crisp not making much sense- so a new name could be subbed in). The Twins have interest in both packages and rumors have surfaced with their intentions of settling on either.
2. As of right now, the Yankees are not talking with the Twins. This could change with the brain of Hank Steinbrenner in constant psychotic motion. Don’t count them out yet. I doubt they cave and offer Ian Kennedy along with Phil Hughes and Melky Cabrera, but it’s possible. The price of Dan Haren appears a bit too high for them, maybe higher than the Twins asking price.
3. The Angels sit as the dark horse in the race due to their abundance of quality prospects and the fact they must be feeling frustrated after losing out on Alex Rodriguez and Miguel Cabrera. The Mariners and Rangers have also inquired about Santana, but nothing serious.

I would love for this to be resolved soon. The longer it drags out, the longer the Yankees and Angels have a chance to re-enter the fray and make this ultra complicated and competitive. Plus, I am extremely tired.
