I am actually a little disappointed that Citizens Bank Park didn't make the list. I'm a Yankees fan, and I love the history at the Stadium, but the Phillies CBP is hands down one of my all time favorite stadiums, every seat is literally a good seat. Followed closely by Camden Yards. And, don't get me wrong, the history at Fenway is tremendous, but even Beantown fans have to admit that pretty much every seat at Fenway is obstructed. Also, I love the Juicebox, and am honestly sad that Minute Maid Park didn't make the list...

...maybe they should have made a top 12 ballparks list.... :-)

Exempting my home base of Fenway, Citizens Bank Park is my favorite park. That said, I haven't been to half the parks listed (Pittsburgh, Milwaukee, Denver, Cleveland or Washington). In addition to the well-designed seating at CBP, I love the way you never feel far from the field even on the concourse. (And in the interest of full disclosure, the fact that the concession stands alternate between typical American mass-produced beer and interesting microbrews, including those from PA breweries like Victory and Sly Fox, earns points too.)

Nationals Park is a pathetic joke of a ballpark. The design is hopelessly muddled, combining the worst of the other bland HOK parks with the inimitable charm of an Airport Ramada. Then, just make the upper deck 50' further back than RFK, remove all seats above the plate to make room for luxury boxes, and create the worst looking RF complex since Petco. Voila, $611m for the taxpayers.

Yankee Stadium died in the 70s, PNC Park is amazing, Wrigley is insanely overrated, Fenway is a jewel, Camden is revolutionary and still excellent, Miller Park is an eyesore (though a structural marvel), Safeco is another muddled mess that never should've borrowed retro, and Coors/Jake seem fine.

No AT&T on there is just high-larious. Not to mention Kauffman and Dodger Stadium, the only two parks in baseball history with a design concept.

I disagree.

Sean, you are amazing. I agree with your disagree, especially about Chavez Ravine. That has become such a comfortable park, such a good place to be part of the game. Fenway is even better. The location of Petco is spectacular, and the dimensions have certainly caused a thoughtful approach to offense and defense, every game.

Citizens Bank would not make my top ten. I've been there for more than a few games, and it's an okay field - but between the obnoxious Philly fans, poor location of the park (no atmosphere outside the stadium like Baltimore, Cleveland or Boston) and the cookie-cutter design, I'd take a trip to Pittsburgh or any of the other stadiums I listed above.

Personal favorites would be Camden Yards, Jacobs, PNC, Fenway and I'd even throw in the Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati. It's located right on the Ohio River in downtown Cincy. You can walk over to Newport Heights. Great outside atmosphere and while not a breathtaking ballpark like PNC is, it's still a very good stadium. Pretty good seats and Skyline Chili dogs. Yum!

I don't know... I just know I wasn't too impressed when I visited for the first time. I'm visiting again this month, so we'll see if my opinion changes.

no offense, but Sly Fox makes mediocre beer at best. Victory is about par with Sly Fox as well.

Coors field is sick. The beer is shit.

Camden, Fenway, Wrigley: easily my top three of parks that I've been to. But given that I was basically raised in the Kingdome, I can enjoy a game anywhere.

I've only been to Shea, Yankee Stadium, and Camden. I was seven or eight when I went to Shea and all I remember is the big apple out of the hat and a hot hot hot sun. Yankee stadium was awesome to see a game at. Now if it hadn't been the Sox I'm sure it would have been different, but the atmosphere was intense there. Camden was wonderful and I'll be up there again for the May 31st game. This summer I hope to get up to Nationals Stadium and down to Turner Field.
