Julio Lugo lead the way with four hits in the game and the Boston Red Sox completed the four game sweep of the Texas Rangers beating them 8-3.
Once Kason Gabbard left the game prior to the third inning the flood gates opened one inning later in the fourth as Boston scored four runs to open up the game.

After all the worries and rants for the last 5 months about the caliber of this team and its players, this smiling optimist has compiled 20 simple reasons to be excited about the talent and depth of this Red Sox team, this Red Sox farm system, the financial ability to plug holes if necessary, and the potential for repeat:
    1. Despite RoadTrip from Hell, the Sox are in 1st.
    2. Despite abbreviated Spring Training, the Sox are in 1st.
    3. Despite 10 injuries in a month, the Sox are in 1st.
    4. Despite slow starts by Papi, Becket, Timlin, the Sox are in 1st.
    5. Youk (.364/,978OPS) can cover for Mikey, and the Mayor (.349/871OPS) can cover for Youk.
    6. Jacoby makes lemonade with BB, SB . . . while his .277BA rises as he learns to hit inside.
    7. Coco hitting .325BA with his usual great glove.
    8. Lowrie doing an Ellsbury with .375BA, .563SLG with 5RBI, 4R, 3-2B in 16AB . . . plus glove.
    9. Julio doing a Coco, with .314BA, 3SB and improving defense.
    10. J.D.Drew, a fielding and hitting machine with .305/.417/.492., 3HR, 13RBI. As expected.
    11. Manny is Manny: .338/410/703 with 52TB, 6HR, 20RBI. 4-more years, Theo.
    12. The Captain at .262/.795OPS, 3/4HR, 30TB and getting our pitchers through tough times.
    13. Papi, slowly and surely getting it together, and winning games along the way. He’s back.
    14. Kielty, Carter, Moss, van Avery, Kottaras, Brown tearing it up in Pawtucket.
    15. Oki with a 0.00ERA. The league won’t figure him out.
    16. Becket, Daisuke, Lester, Buckholz, Wake improve every outing. ST is finally over for them.
    17. Papelbon, Oki, MDC, Aardsma, Lopez are beyond formidable, by any standard.
    18. Hansen, Gronk, Colon, Pauley, Masterson, Zinc, Hansack will be ready for prime time soon.
    19. Joe Thurston’s defense, IF and OF, which will soon be matched by his bat.
    20. If someone said see you next year, same time, same place, they would have been sooo right.
