TRIVIA: Pitcher over 3.00 still needs answer!
The correct answer still hasn't been guessed to: Who was the only Red Sox pitcher of the 20th century to hold a season ERA of 3.00 or more and still lead the league?
Guesses included Roger Clemens and Oil Can Boyd. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Here's a hint: He was not alive to see Carlton Fisk's famous homerun.
Come on, fellas! You can do it! Winner gets to pick the next available poll question.

ah come on, that's an easy one, Lefty Grove had a 3.08 ERA in 1938, leading the american league.

Yeah, my google-fu got me that too, but I can't break the honor code. Still, Oil Can is a much cooler moniker than Lefty.

We need non-calendar trivia. I would have guessed this, but I have the calendar and knew the answer. I definitely didn't get it right the first time.
