Thought you’d seen the last of Julian Tavarez? Not so fast…
While you most likely have, Tavarez accepted his option for assignment to AAA Pawtucket and as noted in the Boston Herald Clubhouse Insider blog he most likely took the assignment to give the Red Sox a few extra days to work out a deal with either Milwaukee or Colorado.
But who knows…he hasn’t left the organization yet?

In discussing a trade of Julian for a prospect, and knowing we need to restock the farm, it occured that Julian is a whole lot more valuable to us than a prospect.
I hope he finishes S.T. in beautiful Rhode Island, and is ready to pitch when called upon. Justin and Julian getting it together in Pawtucket. Not a bad week for the Sox.
