7/12: Good Or Bad Wake?
| Prev. Gm:
|
Baltimore Orioles (45-46) @ Boston Red Sox (55-40)
Radhames Liz (3-1, 5.94) @ Tim Wakefield (5-6, 3.75) 7:05 PM EDT | Fenway Park (Boston, MA) TV: NESN RADIO: WRKO 680, SBN 1150 |
GAME NOTES: Two out of three against last place Baltimore at home isn't too much to ask. Tim Wakefield has been on an outstanding roll for more than a month now, although his starts have not translated into wins most of the time. Let's change that disturbing trend. Kevin Millar has the most career success vs. the knuckleball at .458/.500/.958. Liz has pitched against the Red Sox only once, a start on August 31 of last season in which he lasted three innings giving up four hits, two runs and striking out three. No Red Sox hitter has faced Liz more than twice.

Wait, so the Sox score 18 runs the game before I go, and have 10 in the first four innings the game after I went. They're now an abhorrent 3-16 when I go to any ballpark, and an amazing 52-24 otherwise.
This being a coincidence is growing increasingly unlikely. Is it at all possible that I'm cursing this team somehow by parking my caboose in a stadium seat, whether it be at ATT, McAfee, or Fenway?

BTW, Indians are all over the Rays again, 7-0 in the 4th inning.

Red Sox Offense - King of all Rally Killers = Unstoppable
(However, just to throw a loop in my logic, the King's replacement is 0-3 with a K ... go figure)

with that lead are we safe if we put Okajima in the 8th?

The King's replacement is fresh out of AAA need I remind you so I'm cutting him some slack. Take in mind he hasn't committed an error yet either.
Now this is a way to get some payback. Save your offense for tomorrow though fellas.

@radio: Oki might've found his groove again. I'm not as apprehensive as before.

Tim deserved this win along with the rest of the Sox in my opinion.

Wake has had an awesome month and he definently deserved some run support for once ... I hope he keeps it up for the second half

I think it starts after a game in seattle, where Wake says, after a terrible outing, that he has to make some adjustements. Looks like those "adjustements" are working!

Wasn't Cabrera supposed to start tomorrow? Any word on who we'll be facing instead?
