It was against Oakland so I will guess it was Eric Chavez
that was a completely random guess which is probably wrong, I can’t remember who he struck out although I remember that it wasn’t Tejada, because he was busy being a primadonna on the bench.
Terrance Long? That’s the only name that sticks out for me…
Hmmm. Jermaine Dye was with them then, right? He’ll be my guess.
I’m pretty sure it was T-Long. Damn it.
Yup, good ol’ Terrence. D’Lowe froze him with an absolutely sick sinker… or two-seamer. Whatever, it was S_I_C_K. Congrats, Steve, on your first trivia question correct!
Steven Roth got it. Lowe bailed out Williamson, struck someone out, walked one to load the bases and struck out Long. There was a sacrifice in there but I’m not sure if it was Williamson or Lowe that gave that up.
That series was the beginning of my man crush on Lowe. I know he’s wrong for me, but when he’s on it’s awesome.
Yeah I knew you had it when you said Terrence Long, completely forgot about him.
sorry, all i recall off the top of my head about that particular pitch was miguel tejada, who cried at d-lowe’s ensuing gesture. :)
for some reason i was convinced it was adam melhuse. guess not
Well it’s about time I saw the question before everyone answered!
Does anyone remember that Derek Lowe also did the Degeneration-X “suck it!” right after that strikeout??
