NYY 10, BOS 3: Sox romped
Robinson Cano led the charge for the New York Yankees with three RBI's in the 10-3 win over Boston.
One bright spot for Boston in the loss was that David Ortiz had two hits and a RBI.
Goat of the Game: Wake
Six earned runs on 5 1/3 innings with four walks given up and a home run not what the Sox needed tonight.
Next Game: Avoid the sweep
Jon Lester has pitched well in big games and he is facing Sidney Ponson - SIDNEY PONSON - this better be a win.

I suppose Wakefield fits the narrow concept of "goat" better than anyone else, but he sure didn't lose this game by himself. He pitched a little worse than average, but it was the bullpen that blew this game open. Led by Jedi Monsterson, our newly-crowned hero.
Also, as long as the offense keeps averaging a couple runs a game (I think it's less than that since the All-Star break), the pitching isn't the biggest problem.

If we can't beat Sidney Ponson tomorrow then we don't deserve to consider ourselves contenders.
