Obviously, no team in the MLB is a pushover but after a revamped offense and a hot streak a lot of us in Boston were expecting a sweep.
Boston at least won game two tonight 8-2 with Jason Bay collecting four hits – third time he has done so this season – in the win.
Josh Beckett bounced back against the Royals on 6 2/3, two runs, two walks, and seven strikeouts.
Star of the Game: Bay and Lowrie
Bay collects four hits and two RBI’s and Lowrie drives in two and played stellar defense tonight.

I admit it, I’m actually a Yankees fan. But you guys are idiots for going for so long without realizing it. The Red Sox shouldn’t have dealt for Beckett and Lowell? I can’t believe you bought that a Red Sox fan would say that.
And you didn’t notice the worse the Yankees do, the gumpier I get about the Red Sox? You guys are a joke. The gig’s up now, but I can’t believe you bought my sherade for so long. I guess there’s a little bit of Yankee fan in everyone, eh Red Sux fans?

Wow, what a pathetic attempt to troll the boards. Honestly, considering Evan has the ability to check IPs, I’m astonished that loser Yankee fans keep trying.
I am pretty Gumpy though, in that I… like shrimp?

I totally would’ve preferred being the gumbiest guy around. Even the (bryant/greg )gumbeliest.
Shocker: it seems it’s one person posting under a number of different accounts. I won’t spoil the surprise, but it’s kinda expected.

On a total side note, if you ever have the misfortune of going near a Bernie and Phyls store, they have these horrible green wooden chairs out front that are totally shaped like gumby’s head. It is a horrible omen of what’s to come, and yet things only go downhill from there.
At least it was at the Nashua branch. Jordans (official furniture of the Boston Red Sox!) gives you free soda, coffee, fresh baked cookies and dippin’ dots in Nashua, so, check that out.
    …so, baseball.

Bob’s discount furniture used to give free cookies and popcorn and stuff like that. Unfortunately the Bob’s in my hometown closed and was replaced by a discount liquor store, which now that I think about it is kinda better.

Me, I enjoy a stew or soup originating in Louisiana consisting of a strong stock, meat and/or shellfish, and celery, bell peppers, and onion, often served over rice. You might call me the gumboest guy around.
    (sorry)

This is the longest we’ve ever riffed on one misspelling. So while I’d give the fake-me a C-/D+, some good has come out of it.
