BAL 11, BOS 6: Buchholz dumped by Orioles

Clay Buchholz has had it rough lately, so rough, he could not get out of the third inning in tonight's ball game losing to the Baltimore Orioles 11-6.

Buchholz lasted 2 1/3's innings, three hits, five runs (all earned), three walks, and no strikeouts.  The loss no puts Buchholz' record at 2-9 on the season.

Goat of the Game:  Tough one

You have to feel for Clay right now but he is the goat here.  He just isn't as sharp as he usually is.

Next Game: Regroup

The offense is continuing to put up runs, but it is tough when a team gets performances from their starter like tonight.

The moment he started asking for new balls, stepping off the mound, and throwing over to first he was DONE.

The 1,2,3 inning was a fluke because it took him over 20 pitches to get off the field. Forget four runs, if the Sox handed him a 10-0 lead he would have fucked it up.

I'm boycotting every Bucky start from now on because I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!

He's lost his confidence ... plain and simpler ... it's a shame because he still has all the stuff to be great ... I still think someday he will be ... but not this season ... he needs some time ... dissappointing to have to move him out ... but necessary

"Stupid is as stupid does." - Story of bill's life.

How erudite you are with your liberal term of faggot. It's good to know how progressive you are thinking all of MA is one big gay marriage but once again your superior Bronx education must've had us pegged huh?

Enjoy your clams cocksucker. It'll be fun to watch you squirm in agony when you're not in the playoffs.

And I can guarantee you one thing right now. You and your Yankees aren't going to be taking the AL East that's for sure and if you even want the Wild Card there are two teams from the AL Central that would just relish in seeing you not get it.

In other words, your victory was a lucky one pulled out of your ass. You might not be so lucky next time.

Calling me a cocksucker is like the pot calling the kettle black. Look where youre from - Homotown USA, the capital of Faggot America and home of the Red Sux. You were saying earlier that NYC has an STD problem, but I would imagine you buttfucking faggots already have a nice collection of STD's circulating through Boston. Rember, Collin, tell your partner to wear a condom next time you get fucked in the ass you fuckin faggot.

You sound so angry bill. Is it still the realization that your supposed dynasty has lots of issues and you can't stand the Rays being on top, all because the fatty Hanky said they shouldn't be?

Pop a Xanax buddy. You and your unreasonable homophobia could use it.

Homotown, USA? Hmmm...don't see that on the map. You should brush up on your geography but it looks like you got a D- in that from the get-go. And you still can't spell my name right nor can you use correct punctuation. That's Bronx education for you.

Honestly I'm going to stop debating with an ignorant troll such as yourself. You can't say anything educated so it's really not worth it.

Read up moron. Looks like it's spelled both ways and actually more with one "L". You lose.

The reason I'm being so awful to you guys is because you Red Sox fans wont respect the Yankees and wont admit the most obvious of facts. You wont admit that the New York Yankees are the greatest franchise in the history of sports. I experience the same with Met fans. They never want to admit the truth. I have a respect for the Sox. I hate them, but respect them. And Colin (see I spelled your name right) if you want to cite Wikipedia, than search Red Sox-Yankee Rivalry and check the historical head to head numbers. Its so one-sided in favor of the Yankees its not funny

I guess this is how Yankees fans act when they miss the playoffs. It's fine if you want to bitch and moan, but can't you do it without the homophobic slurs? It's not any better than racist slurs.

And bill, the Yankees aren't the greatest franchise in all of sports. Guess you've never heard of the Canadiens or the Celtics. Because they've won championships much more often than the Yankees. Being around the longest doesn't make you great, consistently winning does.

Wait, this pathetic child is saying we won't respect the yankees, when he's trolling a Red Sox forum while his team collapses? We shouldn't respect you, or any other Yankee fan that acts like a total wanker. Nobody invited you here, nobody wants you here, or anywhere else. The Yankees site won't have you, because you're a doofus.

Nobody likes you, because you are an idiot and a loser. You spend your time trying to make people hate you on the internet because you obviously have no friends or social life. If you did, you wouldn't feel the need to be with people who hate you online.

Have your mommy get you a psychologist and maybe you'll be happier in the 9th grade. Or just kill yourself, and do everybody a favor.

Buchholz seemed pretty apologetic and demoralized after last night. I hope he can get himself straightened out. Any chance we get to see some of Michael Bowden? I'm guessing they'll bring up Chris Smith first to give the bullpen another arm, but maybe Bowden can pitch next time Buchholz was scheduled?

Come on people, don't feed the Yankee trolls.

Bob: I think with the off day and everything they are OK for the next time through the rotation, and after that Wakefield will hopefully be back, so I don't think we're going to see another starter yet.

Sean O- A total wanker? What is this England? Use some American words. Anyways, the Canadiens are definately NOT the best sports franchise in the world, because no one gives a fuck about hockey in the U.S. The Yankees have a much bigger spotlight when they win. And the Celtics arent either because before this year they hadnt won since the mid 80's. And the Yankees have more championships than both those teams. Anyway, I go to this website to debate, not piss people off, although that is fun too. And Sean, you shouldnt say stuff about people you dont know, cuz you dont know what the fuck youre talkin about

Glad I missed this conversation. Buchholz should have gone to his old A and AA coach weeks ago, like Hughes and Kennedy, to finish his development. He was brought up too soon because he was a wunderkind. He was kept up because the Sox needed him after Schill, Beckett and Daisuke were out early. Then they messed with his mechanics. That's alot for a 22 - 23 yr. old kid to carry. Hopefully, he wlll regain his command and bring his fantastic stuff to ST, and grow from his problems the way that Jon Lester did. He could be another ACE in 2009, as originally expected.

And don't forget, 2 of those 5 runs came after he left the game, and the hot hitting Orioles tee'd off on half our bullpen. It's a shame.

Bill. Grow up. Learn from Moshe. Read the NYT and not the Enquirer. Listen to NPR, not Limbaugh.
