Travis Snider collected five RBI’s and two hits in the Toronto’s 8-1 win over the Boston Red Sox.
Snider drilled a three-run homer off of Paul Byrd in the fifth which made it a 5-0 deficit for Boston.
The Red Sox only run came on a Kevin Cash sacrifice fly in the 7th.
Goat of the Game: Byrd
Five innings pitched with five earned runs and 10 hits to his credit gets him the nod here.
Next game:

I am sure Byrd is tired of pitching against the Blue-Jays this season.
All commentators, and Tito, said the same thing. Byrd throws strikes, and the Jays were all over first pitches, as they knew they would probably be strikes. There must be a way to save him from pitching against them next Friday, 5th time in 6 weeks . . . start Colon or Masterson or Hansack or Pauley instead, as they could be relieving out of a hole by the 4th inning anyway.
