Prev. Gm:

Toronto Blue Jays (80-69) @ Boston Red Sox (87-61)
Roy Halladay (18-10, 2.77) @ Jon Lester (14-5, 3.23)

1:35 PM EDT | Fenway Park (Boston, MA)
TV: NESN, TBS RADIO: WRKO 680, SBN 1150

GAME NOTES: The Jays need to come away with a win here to split the series. The Jays have been rather impressive lately and they send out the feared Doc on the hill. Can Lester give Doc a taste of his own medicine?

Um–don’t the Sox already have a tie? (The Sox won both night games in this series!)

Ditto: Sox win today to take 3 of 4. Did you write today’s game notes before last night’s eighth inning? ;)

A-Rod just hit a GS in the first. NYY 4, TB 0. It made me happy, but now I feel… dirty.

This game should not have been that close. Papelbon, you’ll be getting a “cease and desist” order from my cardiologist.

These last few weeks try men’s souls. We are one game out of the pennant? Amazing. I travel to St. Pete for the Mon & Tue games. Have to, because FSN will black out 2 or 3 of the games. Lester is better than gold. Is Papelbon tired??? This is not him. Coco and Ellsbury again today.

Be wary of those cowbells and horns at the Trop. Methinks they’re the reasons why the Sox have been losing their edge with TB as of late. If you can find them and neutralize them that’d be great.

Or, even better, find 299 other Sox fans and parade around the stadium singing Tessie as loudly as possible. It worked in 1904 and 1912, I think it can work again.
Kazmir, why do you look so sadly/
just because your team has 16 fans/
Kazmir, why do you pitch so badly/
when everyone’s off getting their fake tans/
tessie, you are the only, only, only,-y
    See, it’s easy.
