Tim Wakefield is usually stellar at the Trop. Last night, he was not.
Wakefield gave up six runs in less than three innings pitched as Willie Aybar collected three RBI’s in the win.
Boston is now two games back in the A. L. East.
Goat of the Game: Wakefield
Pretty obvious here.
Next Game: Wow ok.
Way to show up last night. Forget it and get the next one.

Awful. Understandable. But awful. Not just Wake as goat. Only Senor Papi and Ells hit well. Some sad defense. We missed our All-Star 3rd baseman, Left Fielder, Right Fielder, and 1st baseman. Understandable defeat, but still awful. Only a total collapse could keep us out of the post season, which just won’t happen. So Tito, rest whomever needs it, play the kids, enjoy the rest of a winning season, get ready for the Angels . . . and PITCH COLON twice more. He could save our butts against the Angels.
