Kotsay’s at 1B and Chris Carter’s in left. Otherwise, the lineup looks pretty normal.
You have to love Carter’s at bat! This is what every Red sox hitter should do durin’ the playoffs!
Batting around in the first! Why couldn’t they do this LAST wek?
Wow, we should be partying at Game On every night! Does anybody know if that was a private party with the Sox players and their friends & family invited or the general public (a.k.a. lucky s.o.b.s) that happened to be there?
Real pitchers’ duel tonight…
Whooo we look hungover in the 3rd inning so far..
Bringing in Timlin eh? Well this is certainly not a game to bring to the playoffs.
Byrd + Timlin = 79 years of pitching experience.
I am very surprised with this outcome, but pleased nonetheless.
But sadly given the recent trend w/Tampa and the whole refusing to lose thing I don’t see us taking the AL East.
Sabathia is ridiculous. If he pitches them in on Sunday…Mets look like there about to lose it in the 10th.
Good game tonight, missed most of it but saw Bailey’s triple. I immediately said fuck Kotsay (I wanted to see more Bailey/Carter platooned with Crisp) and Mark comes through t drive him in….good stuff.
By the way, does Bailey remind anyone else of Bay at the plate? Not performance wise…just saying their builds/swings seem similar.
Yes.
And be sure you check out Julian Tavarez’ brouhaha tonite against the Phils. It is hysterical. Glad he is still making baseball interesting.
