See it’s a bullshit bullpen like that which will make us get crushed by LA.

bad news, beckett could miss the postseason:
    http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/red_sox/index.php/2008/09/28/beckett-could-be-out-for-postseason/
if this is true, we are doomed.

Wow we are proper fucked if that’s the case.
I sometimes begin to think that 2008 was never Boston’s year.

If the Beckett thing is true it’s a problem, but I haven’t seen it anywhere else so I don’t know.

Wow Cora gives us a triple and they still suck…

Wow. Thank God. We deny the Yanks 90 wins at least. There is a higher power.

I know we have more games to play but wanted to take a second to thank everyone at Firebrand on a sliding scale, from Evan to the flamingest troll, for doing what they do to keep this an informative and fun site. Here’s to some good playoff baseball.

I certainly hope you are right Gerry. I takes a good effort to shake me of my cynicism, but then again 2004 and 2007 were fine examples indeed.

Think about it, Colin: Bailey, Coco, Van Every, Carter, Cash, Ross, Kottaras, Casey, Velasquez, Lowrie, Cora, Wake, Timlin, Hansack just beat the Yankees in the last regular game of 2008.
This, despite blown saves from Masterson and a still injured Aardsma who was left in the game, for some unknown reason, far too long.
A depleted Red Sox win their 95th game. Obviously they don’t suck. Watch when the first team shows up Wed.

    Indeed.
First team is rested and ready, including:
Ells, on a hitting, SB, and Gold Glove streak. ROY??
Pedroia, 2nd in BA, still wants 20HR. MVP??
Youk, still wanting his 30thHR. MVP??
Papi, has found his power. Needs to prove himself.
Bay, wants his 35thHR. Postseason is paradise.
Drew, wants his 25th HR, out to redeem his season.
Tek, may guide Lester to another No-No.
Lester. Amazing. Unbeatable at home (game 4)
Daisuke. Unbeatable on the road (games 2 & 5)
MDC, Oki, Lopez, Paps. The Angels don’t have this.
Toss in Lowrie, Coco, Masterson, Kotsay, a little Byrd and maybe Lowell.
    I really like our chances.

Considering that it's highly unlikely that the Red Sox could acquire both in a trade, who would you prefer to see don a Sox uniform come April?
