<description>I&#039;d rather find a way to bring back Shoppach. He was and is a good answer. Barring that, I think Theo should bet the farm and go after Posey and Lincecum.
Will Tek stick around to mentor and transition to Coaching staff, or will he listen to Boras and find the highest short term bidder above 3/25. I think it&#039;s either/or. Part of me would like to purge the Red Sox of Boras clients to set an example of how a team can protect themselves and baseball from such unreasonable behavior.
Bowden will need time in AAA (just the way Buchholz and Ellsbury needed) before bringing him up, probably to cover an injury (to Wake?, A.J. Burnett?, Ben Sheets? CC?) Buchholz could stay there for a few weeks also to complete his degree in pitching.

		<description>ranger fan.
If we land C.C Sabhatia in the offseason, trade Buccholz or Bowden becomes much more likely.
I want Teagarden.

<description>FWIW, we could trade either pitcher and bring in a FA in the offseason. Not that I&#039;m in favor, but I&#039;m just saying it&#039;s an option. And since we clearly need options at the catcher position, we might as well keep an open mind.
But trading a young pitcher is never ideal. Then again, we trade from surplus if we trade Coco, but Coco&#039;s value is lessened by the fact that he&#039;s surplus. Teams will try to stiff us because they know we&#039;d rather not be paying him to be a 4th outfielder or platoon guy ...

		<description>ELLSBURY!
He adds an extra spark and is due after the past 2 games.
My predictions are he goes 3-4 with a stolen base.
He will make the difference in the game and add flair to the outfield especially in center.

<description>Buchholz will command more than just Salty. I can see Bowden/Crisp for Salty.

<description>Salty to the Sox, but not for Buchholz or Bowden.
Salty and Teagarden are excess, in the same way we have about a dozen quality outfielders. Buchholz and Bowden are not excess. They are about to raise Sox pitching to the next level, we have no replacements for them at this time, and we been waiting a couple of years for them to move up.
We would be dumb to trade one away and then turn around and have to trade still more prospects for a top pitcher to replace him.
Re: Ells? I agree. Platoon him with Coco, playing to their greatest strengths. It would be poetic justice for Coco to become a beast with the bat and baserunning during postseason. Crisp&#039;s speed and D for Salty?

<description>Tomorrow&#039;s lineup should look like this:
Ellsbury
Pedroia
Drew
Youk
Papi
Bay
Lowrie
Varitek
Cora (only because he&#039;s probably going to start, not that I&#039;m heavily in favor of putting him in!)
Putting Papi in the 5th slot isn&#039;t a bad idea because it&#039;ll reduce some pressure and he can just focus on mashing the ball rather than trying to be the hero all the time.
