What is Dustin Pedroia’s Spanish nickname and what does it mean? (Two-parter answer.)

HONOR CODE: No search engines.

Previous trivia question: Joe Harris holds the American League-record 20 consecutive scoreless innings in a game? (He is also tied for the AL record in most innings pitched in a game overall.). He did this on Sept 1, 1906, in a 4-1 loss to the Philadelphia A’s.
That was the year Harris went 2-21, the middle year of a three-year
career in which he went 3-30.

Go Sumo! The omni is a
chair + lounge + loveseat + floor pillow. It is: space age, has rip
proof nylon and little foam beads. It’s huge — 5.5 x 4.5 feet,
lightweight, versatile, colorful, stain resistant, easy to clean and
incredibly comfortable. What more could you want?

It’s the webcam I had installed in your office, Evan. (It’s in the heating vent.) It looks right over your shoulder at your computer screen, and I know exactly when you post trivia questions.

Wow, even I knew this one. Unfortunatly, unless we all begin stalking Evan I don’t think any of us have much of a chance keeping up with TD. ;)

Well, actually “caballito” is a diminutive of the word “caballo” (horse). So, yes, it means “little horse” but, just for the record, in spanish, the diminutive is used like an endearing term.

I know. I’m pathetic and have no life. Especially in the off-season.
Y a M.A.G.: Si, pero todos los apodos son términos de cariño, verdad?

LOL… Well, T.D. I guess you have a point. In any case I was not trying to dispute your crown as the absolute King of fire brand trivia. ;)

“King of Fire Brand Trivia” is far too kind. “King of F5″ might be more accurate.

How do you say Hobbit in Spanish?
Hobita? Or I guess it’d be Hobito in the masculine.
Nah, just kidding, I love Pedroia despite my utter hate for the Red Sox. He grew up in my neighboring town and is a good guy and ballplayer. He was a stud on his junior high baseball team and I respect him.
Having said this, he really does look like a Hobbit. Or a Keebler Elf. Take your pick.
