The Red Sox have reportedly offered Japanese starting pitcher Kenshin Kawakami a 3-year deal at $21 million. Supposedly, this is the highest offer Kawakami has received.
He has a career 3.22 ERA in Japan over 11 seasons. He has won the Rookie of the Year, MVP and Sawamura (Cy Young) Award in his career.
