Well, when the Sox broke the record with consecutive sell-out #456, they issued a thank-you at: http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/bos/fan_forum/streak_456_thanks.jsp to which I posted a link on my own blog: http://supertessie.blogspot.com/2008/09/456-and-counting.html I clicked on the graphic, and got the list of 2003 sellouts, of which the first was May 15, 2003. From there, I went to Retrosheet to look up the day before, May 14. Voila.
