Red Sox Madness: Championship Monday

The rain may have postponed Opening Day, but I look at it as a blessing in disguise. I mean, how could you really expect to start the season without having properly named the 2009 Red Sox Madness Champion.

Votes will be tabulated tomorrow morning and a winner crowned before first pitch.

Whose success is more important to the overall success of the 2009 Boston Red Sox, Josh Beckett or Dustin Pedroia?

You have to assume you won't get anything from Beckett, since he's more often mediocre than good. Dustin's the MVP, he's the star.

Has to be Beckett. You know Pedey is gonna be solid, if not spectacular. But with Beckett. He could be dominant or he could suck. If it's the latter we're gonna have a tough go of it. But if he's the Beckett of '07 nobody can touch our rotation with him, Lester, and Dice-K.
