How long have you been watching Francona and Theo operate. They are nothing if not patient. With veterans such as Penny (provided he is healthy) they will continue to send them out there.

If he gets bombed again, you may see a phantom injury put him on the DL.

Kinda concerned about Bay, not gonna lie. Hopefully it’s a minor ankle tweak, because we can’t afford to lose our LF going into our first Mordor series.

I’m worried about Bay’s ankle too. I hope Francona is not taking an innecessary risk letting him play today.

Start Lugo. Lose game. Lugo will start a lot of game and the Red Sox will drop a.lot games.

That pitch said 97. Good sign, but Penny shouldn’t be yelling and screaming when a player makes a mistake. I know he is frustrated, and I guess it is nice to show that he cares. But I didn’t agree with the way he handled himself right there.

Lugo has just not worked out. I know there is a significant sum of money involved but it really is time to move on.

If Lugo isn’t in the lineup, the Red Sox win that game, plain and simple.

Lugo cost 2 runs today showing off that glove of his. Be a man Theo! admit your mistake and cut his sorry ass.

I like that my Lugo- swine flu simile/analogy/ metaphor is sticking. Now if only Julio would pull a hammy.

Mohawk, because Cabrera and Gonzo were not under contract if I recall, and someone actually WANTED Renteria :)

I’m starting a “Rent-A-Wreck” chant every time Renteria comes to bat when I’m at AT&T. I can’t believe Sabean did that.
Actually…check that, I can — nothing surprises me with that moron anymore. Thanks for Rent-A-Wrecking my home team, you moron.

sad as it is I’d rather see Rent a Wreck and his two step range than Lugo these days. What I really want is Theo to issue a public apology for that signing. Simmons was definitely right it was like watching your friend go after the ugly chick, not realizing that she was ugly. Can you believe that in 2005 we almost traded Manny for this clown and Aubrey Huff

I really didn’t like the Lugo signing much, but no one could have expected him to be THIS bad right?

I think a lot of us saw disaster coming with that signing. Everyone except Theo, in fact. Was Bill James advising him then? If so, WTF Bill?
Sean: Still working on getting a ticket to the game. I’m trying to stay under $50, so it’ll most likely either be in the bleachers or OF grandstands. Any idea how early you plan to get to Fenway?

no, I expected him to be This bad and honestly, has he ever been good? at anything? I feel like my pathetic high school skills before I got cut from varsity would have been better

I never thoght he will be this bad. When we sign Lugo, I thought he was a mediocre and overrated SS, but had hopes of being wrong. So, I never expected to be a great signing, but I never thought he will be THIS bad.
This is a whole new level of bad.

Probably won’t be there ’til 6:30, since I’m coming from Lowell. We’ll talk on Wed during the day.
