Poignant header for tonight’s game. It’s nice to integrate rookies into a rotation rather than having to rely on them out of necessity, and Penny allows us to do that. I hope some people can see how irrational all the trade chatter surrounding this guy was.

Drew could have been charged with an error on Dunn’s double. I think he should have.

Great double play be Green! Highlight reel stuff right there.

See, I like to inspire. I wrote about Pedroia today in a quick post and he has a few hits. I wrote about Ryan Zimmerman at my other site and he too had a few hits. Okajima got out of a jam too…

Nice bullpen the Nati’nals got there. Rumor had it that Manny Acta was on his way out a couple weeks ago; if I were him, I’d be strongly tempted to quit. How can you be expected to manage that mess?

Nice to have old friend Tavarez give back to the sox what he gave away for them when he played for them so many times. Liked especially when he went into that “El Tiante” spin move with a runner on 1st base.. What a joke, forgot who the baserunner was that took off, but if ball hadn’t been fouled off, could have crawled to 2nd.
Nice game all around, especially the defensive gem by Green and the offensive out put by Ells. That 1st triple was a real blast.
