Interesting that the only recent Sox power displays have been from Lowrie and Green; and that some of the best defense has also come from these two. Let's not focus on SS.

Cardinals mused about shipping Chris Duncan to the Sox for Lugo. Not a bad idea, but I think with the LaRoche move, we're full up in outfield/corner infield. The focus needs to move to shortstop.

Theo needs to try and get something for Julio Lugo, he is worthless to the Sox, but he may be worth some low-mid level prospect from another team in contention looking for a little infield depth.

The Sox just need a big bat in their line up a slugger like Julio Lugo would fit in just right.. Maybe we could pick him up.

sorry Evan, i can't help but get a chuckle out of this. i'm sure somewhere Sean-O is pumping his fists hoping that this spells the end of Mike Lowell.

Well, this was timely. Wonder what we are giving up for LaRoche.

You make excellent points. The Sox lineup is demonstrably potent, an excellent offense, but slumping and inconsistent. To improve it doesn't mean trading out for a potentially potent but slumping or inconsistent replacement.
I take it your Friday list will be an "A" list of players who could help now without tearing out the core of the team and the core of the farm.
