Those pesky Yankees are back aside us at the top of the AL East. I couldn’t think of a better day for the Stopper to come to work.
Reminds you of the “Wolf” doesn’t he?

wow hate to see Wake on DL ( or anyone for that matter) but i am glad to see Buchholz return… you can never have enough pitching… why i do NOT want to see any pitchers traded right now ( tho’ if we could get a really good return on Penny…)
Yes to the man, Beckett, who will have to throw almost a perfect game if RS don’t wake up the bats – almost makes you wanna send them a case of viagra

Let’s hope Beckett pitches a gem, because this offense is not gonna give him run support.

I pitty Beckett. No matter how good is your pitching if you don’t have an offense.

time to make a trade, offer San Diego or Cleveland the farm for Gonzales or VMart, that’s the only way to save this team. I’d even be willing to trade Anderson at this point because this is just too painful to watch.

Winston Wolf might be able to solve the problem if the problem is one brain-spattered, blood-stained corpse, but the Red Sox’ problem is SIX such corpses hitting in the #4 through #9 spots. Hard to believe this was a first place team at one point. Those days are over.

Message to Theo: “Man does not live by pitching alone”.
This offense needs an upgrade. We need someone capable of restoring life to this lineup.

Remember, Yankees are hosting the O’s in the wind tunnel, and are specializing in one run wins. The Sox are on the road against two tough teams, losing close games.
Not to say they aren’t pathetic right now. They are. But they will come out of this slump the same way the Yankees did. Baltimore at home.
In the meantime, trade with Cleveland. V-Mart is very available. V-Mart, Papi, Tek, Mike, Youk each get every fifth day off, no dip in production. He can take either Kotsay’s or Kottaras’ slot. It’s time.
