BOS 7, BAL 2: Homers keep Lester perfect against O’s

Jon Lester improved to 9-0 in his career against the Baltimore Orioles with the help of the long ball.
David Ortiz smashed a three-run home run and Adam LaRoche hit a two-run shot pacing the Boston offense.
Lester struck out nine batters over seven plus innings on eight hits, two runs and two walks.
Lester improved to 9-7 overall with the win.
Jacoby Ellsbury went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
Star of the Game – Lester
Lester dominated the Orioles yet again. It is almost an automatic win when Lester faces Batlimore as he 9-0 in 11 starts against the Orioles.

Next Game – 7/27 vs. Baltimore – David Hernandez/John Smoltz

Smoltz needs to prove his worth as a starter.
