must win
looks like the Sox are answering the call
tazawa really stepped up today, the BB and K numbers weren’t great but it’s clear that this kid definitely has a set, he’s not afraid of anyone
For sure. Big ups to Tazawa and the O. The kid is showing alot of maturity. And it’s nice to have the offense actually score some runs when the other team doesn’t for once. Maybe yesterday is serving as a wake up call to these guys. Let’s keep it going.
It sucks to be me. I got to see every stinking pitch of yesterday’s debacle; today, I could only see one, and it was the one Swisher hit out.
I think you should find something else to do during tomorrow’s game …
Baseball’s a f’n funny game, innit? 22-year-old rookie against the $85 Million Man, the Sox coming off the Friday night embarrassment, and they kick Yankee ass all over the park. After the last two days, does anybody honestly have the slightest clue how Game 3 will turn out???
I’d also say that none of these games is a “must win.” Barring a complete Yankee collapse, the AL East is already out of reach, and I’ve made my peace with that. The Sox do have to win their share to secure the wild card, but no single game is a must.
Indeed. I’ve often thought that I should offer to let the Red Sox pay me not to watch.
Remember the last Yankee series? (Of course, we’ve all tried to forget.) I was out of town on a vacation at the time, and missed the start of the game. We got back to our hotel room while it was still scoreless, and I flipped on the TV. Within seconds, A-Roid hit his seventh inning shot. Off went the TV, and we left to go to dinner. We arrived at the restaurant, and while waiting to be seated, I peeked into the bar, where the game was on TV. I barely had time to register that the score was now 2-1 in the Red Sox’ favor when Damon homered to tie it.
So, yeah, the TV will remain off tonight.
