Today is the final game of the season against the accursed White Sox, stealers of Carlton Fisk. Josh Beckett has given up 12 home runs in his last four starts (!!!) while Mark Buehrle is 2009’s Mr. Perfect. Curt Hennig would roll over in his grave if he knew that the wrong Sox had the ‘Perfect’ label. Can Beckett keep balls inside the Cell? If he wants a future job as prison guard, he better show it here.

Beckett will be back to normal, unless he is masking some sort of injury, which I think is likely. The guy has just not looked like himself the last couple times out.

I’m not the biggest Beckett fan, but this fucking umpire sucks. He doesn’t call the strikes strike and calls the shit that floats up in the strike zone strikes.

Marcos, I can’t believe how often I disagree with you, but today you were right on target. Every player seemed frustrated. Losing this series is hard to believe, as is being 8.5 games behind. Concession time is getting close.
