    Clay has been nasty. That fastball up and in to Mike Jacobs in the 2nd was filthy. That broke right over the corner. THAT’S command.

    Not so wild. 0 bb. I really hope he won’t get traded for Hernandez. There wouldn’t be much of an improvement.

    Agree. And if Buc keeps gaining confidence and a few more pounds, it may work out that Felix wouldn’t be an improvement at all in the A.L.E., and we would have traded the farm in the process. Good odds that Lester & Daisuke will pitch great games Friday & Saturday.
    Beckett, Lester, Buchholz, Matsuzaka . . . wildest dreams coming true. To think we could have lost Lester, Ellsbury, Buchholz, Bard, Lowrie in trades from Santana to Teagarden. I’ll take our home grown crew, and hang onto Victor, A-Gon, J.Bay, Rocco & Gathright in the bargain. Gotta love this team;

    Did Rice compare Buchholz to Moret last night? (Further proof that baseball knowledge may just be inversely proportional to major-league skills)
