    Hey guys, love the chat.

How come no one is talking about acquiring Miguel Cabrera from the Tigers? One of the big problems with the Red Sox last year was their inability to hit great pitching. Jason Bay included, this team feasted on bad pitching and were often stymied by the better quarter of pitchers in the AL. I’d like to think of Cabrera as one of the very best hitters in the game with the Manny Ramirez-esk ability to make something out of nothing when facing some of the better pitchers.

Can you talk about Cabrera’s availability, why or why not he’s a good fit, and the potential asking price…..

Hey Jeff Thanks for the comments. I can't speak for Tim but on my end I love Cabrera and think he would be a great bat. With that said however I think the Theo looks at it just like Manny. Meaning he could be trouble in the clubhouse. His weight has been an issue and remember at the end of last season there was a drinking/domestic incident at his home. I think the sox would look at that very closely before they targeted him over say Adrian Gonzalez.

I will talk to Tim and we will definitely address this further in next weeks show.
