Bud Selig has once again exhibited a total lack of sense for the current game and the history of the game. Its obvious he isn't interested in advancing the legacy of baseball at all.

No professional sport has ever had an historic facility/stadium/ballpark "perform" for 100 years. In 2012, Fenway Park will do just that. It would have been an ideal time to place the All Star Game in Fenway. Instead, it goes to Kansas City. No offense to KC, but why 2012?

Celebrating the 100 year of a stadium would be unique and draw more attention to the "showpiece" of the leagues…namely, the All Star Game. Doesn't the AS Game need a shot in the arm just as much as KC?

Oh well. what more can you expect from "Sound Asleep Bud"? If anyone else did their job the way he does, they would have been fired long ago.
