GAME NOTES
I am trying to remain positive, but it’s getting difficult. Jon Lester has a chance today and prove that he is the true ace of the staff. I’m sure we would all like nothing better than for him to go out and completely dominate the Indians. On the other side of the ball, the offense will smack around Fausto Carmona and he will be gone by the fourth inning. The Red Sox hitters’ previous numbers against Carmona are encouraging. In 131 total previous AB’s against Carmona, Red Sox batters are hitting .336/.420/.504.

PLAYER OF THE DAY
Today is 4/7, Terry Francona currently wears 47, though his uniform number is rarely ever seen.  Bruce Hurst is probably the most notable wearer of 47, he pitched for the Red Sox from 1980-1988.  He won 88 games over his Red Sox career and is arguably the best left-handed starting pitcher is Red Sox history, a title currently being wrestled away from him by today’s starter, Jon Lester.
