GAME NOTES

Usually when a team gets sixteen hits, they win the game. Usually, that same team will score more than six runs. Of course that team would be the 2011 Red Sox, and so far nothing has gone as it should. The Sox look to rebound from a tough ten inning loss as they take on the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday night. Perhaps no one needs a rebound more than Sox starter John Lackey, who comes in with a hefty 7.16 ERA after getting shellacked for 9 earned runs over 3 2/3 innings in his last start against the Angels. The big Texan looks for his third win and first against a team that is not in the American League West. Toronto counters with Jesse Litsch, who had his best start of the season in his last outing against Detroit. He struck out a season high 9 batters and gave up only one run in 6 1/3 innings. Litsch carries a 4.04 ERA and 3-2 record. Jose Iglesias gets his first major league start at short stop. He’ll turn the order over, batting ninth
