Sure the Sox are riding a 9 game winning streak — which came to an end just after taping — and the Bruins are about to play the most epic Game 7 since 2003/2004 Red Sox/Yankees, but Paul and I can’t help spending twenty minutes talking Andrew Miller and the looming opt-out (which it looks like will not be exercised) and baseball realignment (which we are both in favor of with balanced schedules, five team playoffs and expansion of two teams).

Not to turn a blind eye on what the Red Sox are doing however — they’ve been phenomenal as they backed up sweeps vs Oakland, NY and Toronto. But now it’s on to the vaunted Rays, a thorn in the side of Red Sox momentum since the 2008 ALCS. Can the Red Sox keep the petal to the metal?

All that and more on this episode of Fireside Chats.

Thanks for listening!
