It’s been a while between shows due while Paul and I battled ownership for a new collective bargaining agreement. Good news — the lockout has finally been lifted and we are back in business. If we measure the time missed in Red Sox wins we would be over twenty — that’s how good this team has been playing.

Today we talk about what’s been going right — Pedroia, Ellsbury and the bullpen — and what’s been going wrong — not much — before diving into the trade deadline.

We know the Red Sox are buyers, but what holes do they need to fill? Surely a right handed bat, preferably a right fielder is on the menu — but what about a starter? What about a really good one (Ubaldo?)? Maybe Josh Reddick has played himself into a valuable commodity in more ways than one.

All that and more on this episode of Fireside Chats.

Thanks for listening!
