According to CSNNE’s Seam McAdam, the Dodgers have claimed Josh Beckett off waivers. While the Dodgers have not yet been awarded the waiver claim on Beckett, earlier today they were awarded the waiver claim on Adrian Gonzalez. As with Gonzalez, a player claimed on waivers may be traded to the claiming team, the claiming team may be awarded that player with no return, or the waiving team may pull the player back off waivers. Being a 10/5 player, Beckett could refuse assignment to a claiming team just as he could refuse a trade.
