John Farrell is new Red Sox Manager

Red Sox hire Farrell to be next manager

According to Peter Abraham, the Boston Red Sox have hired John Farrell the 46th manager in the history of the team. Compensation for Farrell’s hiring has yet to be announced. However, as the Red Sox were granted permission to speak with Farrell before his hiring, it can be presumed that the Red Sox and the Blue Jays came to an agreement with respect to compensation. Reports have speculated that the Red Sox will send Mike Aviles to the Blue Jays.
