And once more with the Yankees. I guess it’s just a simple question of “Would you like your playoff dreams crushed now or later, New York?”

What is this madness?

It really is the strangest feeling to be in September and not worried AT ALL about this team. Not even a little bit. I am so used to us being 1 or 2 games ahead or away from another team or in a panic about a losing streak and saying “well, they don’t really need to win the division – they’re fine as long as they get the wild card.” or, “yeah sure they’re playing badly now but, it’s just cuz they’re saving the good stuff for the playoffs!” and it’s not streakiness like 2011 – they have been playing at this level really consistently. None of that. It feels like smooth sailing right now. Or maybe that’s a false sense of security? should I be worried that I’m not worried? like in 2007 with the Pats? Oh the trials and tribulations of a neurotic Sox fan…

New Lyndsay It’s really weird. This team is…”comfortably good”, to describe it lightly. They didn’t ride the struggle bus in August, and then kicked it up to 11 in September, which is something that I’ve never seen.
