Last week, accompanying pieces by Jack Keller and myself, I asked you how concerned you were with the Red Sox defense. Your answers essentially came out to “kind of?”

The majority (43%) of you said you were “Moderately” concerned, while 31% said you were “Very” and 20% said “Not very.” Essentially, 94% of you fell in the middle three options, so we can pretty safely conclude that’s where popular opinion is sitting.

Yes, the defense has been bad so far, but as Jack and I discussed, there’s plenty of room for improvement down the road.

How concerned are you with the 2014 Red Sox defense?

  • Moderately (43%)
  • Very (31%)
  • Not very (20%)
  • Not at all (4%)
  • Extremely (2%)
  • This week, I want to talk some Mookie Betts. Betts is currently tearing up AA Portland to the tune of a .405/.456/.662 triple slash, with a .476 wOBA. He’s surged up the Red Sox prospect lists since starting last season in Single-A, and now looks like he’ll be major league-bound sooner rather than later, barring any unforeseen circumstances. With that in mind, I’m interested to know where you think Mookie Betts will be in five years. Break out your crystal balls.

Where will Mookie Betts be playing in five years?

  • Starting for the Red Sox (Second base)
  • Starting for the Red Sox (Other position)
  • Bench for the Red Sox
  • Starting for another team (Traded)
  • Bench for another team
  • Other
  • Let me know what you think, and we’ll have the answers up here next week with a new poll.
