Many years ago, Fire Brand Poll #109 asked you about Stephen Drew and what his role should be upon rejoining the Red Sox a couple weeks ago. Most of you responded that Drew should take over the full-time shortstop role, with the two platoon options (Middlebrooks and Bogaerts) coming in second and third. Unsurprisingly, not many of you were fans of playing Drew at third, as it finished beneath the “Other” option. Will Middlebrooks has yet to make a return to the major leagues following his injury, so how Farrell will incorporate Drew into the lineup when the full squad is healthy remains to be seen.
