Michael Bowden was stretched too thin, giving up five hits and five earned runs in just over two innings of work. The bullpen did not help matters, as Hunter Jones handed the Blue Jays another four on the way to an 11-5 loss.

Now, Saito likely takes Masterson’s role, with Manny Delcarmen elevated in a role where the Sox pitch from behind.
In some organizations, highly-rated prospects like first baseman Lars Anderson, outfielder Josh Reddick, pitcher Nick Hagadone and infielder Oscar Tejada might open at Triple A.
Because the Pawtucket Red Sox have so much depth and talent, players of this caliber have been assigned to teams farther down the minor league ladder.
That could make for a most interesting season for the PawSox.
The deadline for the Rule 5 draft has passed and one of the three players Theo Epstein elected to add to the 40-man roster is left-handed reliever Hunter Jones. Jones is a 6′4″ 240lb control pitcher that has seen his career go from the operating table in college to the mound in Pawtucket in just over four years.
