[UPDATE BY EVAN] David Wells was placed on the 15-day DL. This potentially means that Pauley could be in line for another start, although the Sox may elect to send Pauley down and recall Abe Alvarez. The next turn would pit Pauley/Alvarez against the Yankees, a day after Josh Beckett takes the hill in New York.
