GAME NOTES: Well, we were all so excited and pumped up from months of waiting for Opening Day to arrive- and then it turned out to be a stinker of epic proportions. An all-around futile effort from Curt Schilling and a nap from the bats won’t win many ballgames, Royals in April or Yankees in October. After we shake that loss off, the focus is now on the 2007 Josh Beckett. Will he rebound to ace form and show major improvement, or resort back to his getting-shellacked ways? The Royals are hot and confident. Watch out.
