GAME NOTES: Well, after the Opening Day disaster, the Red Sox march out of KC with two consecutive wins on the heels of strong outings from Josh Beckett and Daisuke Matsuzaka. If we can avoid potential showers in the Arlington area, we could have another winnable series on our hands facing the 0-3 Rangers. Then again, their offense explodes in that park and we all remember how Wakefield fared last season in Texas in the first week. Hopefully the knuckler is dancing and the offense keeps getting hits. Dustin Pedroia is red hot, Coco Crisp finally woke up from his coma, Julio Lugo is getting on track and J.D. Drew is driving the baseball. Believe it or not, the coldest hitter is Papi and you know he’ll explode soon. Let’s pour on the runs and get this winning streak to 3 today while we open up the Rangers home season in a rare Friday afternoon game.
