GAME NOTES: After experiencing a never-ending onslaught of snow and postponements in Cleveland, the well-rested Mariners fly to Boston in anticipation of the Fenway Park opener. Due to the fact the M’s haven’t played since LAST WEDNESDAY, the rotation is different from the one I projected in yesterday’s article. Instead, we’ll see the debut of Jeff Weaver, a tremendous Felix-Dice-K matchup on Wednesday, and Washburn on Thursday (although the weather does not look promising). We’ll get an opportunity to see how Seattle plays after the long stretch of offdays. This early in the year, it probably won’t affect them too much. Beckett takes the hill for the Sox coming off an acceptable first start of 2007, looking to keep the long ball on a leash and leave Tuesday afternoon to a standing O from the first of 81 sellout crowds at Fenway this season.
