RED SOX’S PREVIOUS GAME: Red Sox 1, Blue Jays 2 on 4/17/07

GAME NOTES: Knowing our lineup, they’ll probably go off for 10 runs tonight. Also knowing our lineup, we’ll fall to a mediocre pitcher. So the moral of the story: I don’t know what to expect from our lineup. What I do know is that Tim Wakefield will put up just enough resistance to give the Red Sox a chance to win tonight, and it would be really important if that happened. There’s no need to lose two in a row to a division rival with their lower-end rotation pitchers on consecutive nights. Remember, Halladay is toeing the rubber Thursday so this is a very important game.
