GAME NOTES: Jeremy Guthrie’s last start against the Red Sox was on May 13th at Fenway Park. He went 8.1 innings, allowing five baserunners and one unearned run. In seventeen starts this season, he has allowed more than three ER only three times…but all of those starts have come within his last six outings. Wakefield is coming off a 4-1 July, but his ERA in that month was 5.52 (the second highest of any month this season). He has not yet faced the Orioles this year.
