NOTE: I guessed on the lineups. Stay tuned to Fire Brand for the real ones when they’re announced. {Edit: Angels lineup confirmed.}
The biggest of big game pitchers toes the rubber for the Red Sox in a crucial Game 3- Curt Schilling. He’ll be confronted by the Angels #3 man, young Jered Weaver, making his first posteason start. With a victory, the Sox wrap up three straight division series sweeps (Colorado, Arizona the others) and will be able to rest for four days before the ALCS, allowing them to tinker with the rotation and rest ailing parts. With a loss, the Angels gain some momentum and throw John Lackey at home against our ace, Josh Beckett, in Game 4 Monday night. Let’s not get it to that point. A win is another step towards The Goal. WIN.
